 As you've probably heard on the national news this week, the FAA is investigating a case involving a JFK air traffic controller who brought two children into the tower last month. Tower tours to family members is permitted; however, the problem is that one of the children gave instructions to pilots from the air traffic control tower. Now the air traffic controller/parent in question has been put on administrative leave during the investigation. Read the full story here. To hear the audio of the boy's directions to the pilots, click here. Air traffic controllers have an important responsibility to keep pilots and passengers safe for takeoff and landing. And bringing kids to that kind of work probably isn't the most appropriate thing to do. So I'm wondering, what other professions should you NOT bring your kids to? Leave your comments below. |
